Please support our life-saving work
The CAMP RESCUE Disaster Relief Fund helps animals who are victims of disasters like Hurricanes Katrina, Rita, Wilma and other disasters. When disaster strikes, FEMA, the National Guard, United Way and the Red Cross are there to aid the people.
BUT WHAT ABOUT THE ANIMALS?

That is what CAMP RESCUE is all about. Immediate Disaster Relief for animals, without all the political RED TAPE associated with paperwork and getting the most out of PR (see what others say about Camp Rescue).
Trained volunteers are ready to respond to disasters anywhere in the United States within 24 hours.
We also stand ready to coordinate volunteer activity and direct donated funds and materials to the neediest sanctuaries, shelters and temporary rescue facilities.
CAMP RESCUE's mission is to find loving, permanent homes for any adoptable animal needing care and, in the interim, to help provide safe haven and rehabilitation to those animals rescued from abusive situations.
We have become most well-known for facilitating our triage program, which directs donations, supplies and volunteers to the neediest sanctuaries, shelters and temporary rescue facilities; those with the most immediate disaster relief needs. These facilities are contacting us on a daily basis with their critical needs. We then can match the cash donations, volunteers and supplies with them on an almost hourly basis.
CAMP RESCUE coordinates volunteers to rescue, shelter, feed, groom, exercise and provide TLC for any displaced companion animals, wildlife and livestock during the duration of a disaster. Then we work to reunite them with their families, or, in cases where their families are unable to take them back, house them comfortably in facilities where they will always be safe, throughout their lives, adopted or not.
Animals we save are NEVER placed in facilities where they will be euthanized; CAMP RESCUE is committed to putting an end to needless euthanasia because of pet overpopulation.

Animal welfare groups are being inundated by calls from pet owners who are STILL searching for their missing pets in the wake of devastation left by Katrina, Rita and Wilma. The permanent and temporary shelters are overloaded, the animals extremely stressed and and there isn't enough help to provide the care that the animals desperately need.
This is what our efforts are all about!

Belle (the dog) was reunited with Serenity, her four year old human after being seperated during the hurricane. Belle spent a few weeks alone in St. Bernard parish before she was rescued by some amazing volunteers. Due to overcrowding, she was fostered by a volunteer
from Circleville, OH.
Now... safely back in the loving arms of her thankful Serenity!
